Jack Odle, Ph.D. is the William Neal Reynolds Professor of Nutritional Biochemistry at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. He received his doctorate from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his research is focused on the area of neonatal nutrition and metabolism, with focus on problems with relevance to both agricultural and medical science.
Dr. Odle is Editor-in-Chief of Current Developments in Nutrition, published by the American Society for Nutrition. The author of more than 190 scientific publications, Odle is also an associate editor of the Annual Review of Animal Biosciences, and was a founding associate editor of Advances in Nutrition, and the Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology. He serves on the National Animal Nutrition Program coordinating committee, and has served on the National Academy of Science NRC Nutrient requirements committee.
